The Wildfire Initiative is a program of the Western Fire Chiefs Association. The Wildfire Initiative seeks to promote emerging tech in the fire service, as well as encourage community engagement as a means of wildfire mitigation and prevention. The Wildfire Initiative educates Chiefs, the public, and various stakeholders on wildfire issues through in-person events, such as the Camp Fire Tour, the Wildfire Policy Summit, and engaging videos.
We seek to address these questions: What are the current issues in wildfire? Why are they issues? What can we do about it?
